Chapter 1: Teen Activists Have you ever heard of a girl who went to school and the school said no? Well I have and there a people who are trying to get girls into school and not out. These people are called activists there are many of them in the world. Some examples of teen activists are Malala, Annie Gersh, School Girls Unite Group, and the Let Girls Lead Group are all examples of activists who are trying to get all girls an education. All of these activists have decided to make other girls lives better by helping raise money. Malala is a teen activist that fought for girls rights. When she fought for her rights to have an education she got attacked by a group called the Taliban. She soon created a fund to help raise money for girls who don't have enough money to go to school. It's called the Malala Fund Annie Gersh is a teen activist who believes that all girls should be accepted into an education. Once girls have educate they become stronger and stronger but without an education they become weak. She believes that all girls have a dream but not all girls can achieve their dream. School Girls Unite Group is a group that raises money for girls who don't have enough money on life to pay for school. They believe that girls education is a way to lead us to ending poverty and improve global health. They also say that 1 in 4 girls make it to 7th grade. Let Girls Lead Group is a group that wants to help get girls the education they need and deserve. They want 250,000,000 to get accepted into an education even though they’re girls. They also say that when these girls get no education they are forced to work back at home. Girls feel invisible when they are denied to an education just because they’re girls. These are all examples of people who have dedicated their lives to make all girls have an education. These activists don't want any girl to live a life where they aren't educated. All these activists know that there are over 50,000,000 girls in the world who aren't getting educated. They all want to help the issue that girls are being discriminated just because they're girls. |
